Tracings on canvas - 2020

 

I always had a strong connection with the flora. I probably could not live without being surrounded by flowers and plants. In particular, I am enchanted by the way Nature manifests itself through intriguing and romantic shapes.

Nature represents reality as we know it, and there is nothing more genuine and elemental than nature itself. The same is true for human emotions. Everything could be spurious, but feelings, everything could be fabricated, but Nature. Everything could be controlled, but feelings, everything could be contained, but Nature.

 

The collection “Tracings” aim to apotheosize Nature’s genuineness and communicate the artist’s emotions. These two apparently different concepts are depicted through a slight texture in contrast with the strong material color brushed and then removed.

Phrases or words, sometimes appear between the brush strokes, by painting atmospheres; emotions, and actions that the artist can feel but can't be expressed in person, nothing special, but surely existing.
